Diederen oil separator
Oil separator Petrol separator Sludge collectors
As an importer of high-quality separators, we supply a complete and certified separator program.
To easily separate mineral oil from water, use an oil separator. The size of a gasoline separator depends on the amounts of oil and water. Oil separators are used in places where there is a greater chance of discharging mineral oil. Consider, for example, washing passenger cars and trucks. But also at workshops where people work on motor vehicles or at a gas station.
We offer you a complete and CE certified separator program. All our separators meet the European standard NEN EN 858. This way you are assured of functional and durable products with proven performance and reliability. If desired, we will make the required capacity calculation for you, of course completely FREE!
Separators for all applications
We supply the right separator for every application. This way we always offer the best drainage solution. Can be delivered quickly and almost always from stock. We supply the following types of separators:
- Oil separators or gasoline separators (OBAS) for filling stations, workshops, garages, washing areas, parking areas, storage of hazardous substances to stop sand, sludge and mineral oil in the wastewater.
- Sludge traps
- Bypass separators
- Slat separators
- Control / sampling wells
- Oil alarm systems
Diederen oil separators are distinguished by the CE mark. These separators meet the established requirements such as sludge and oil volume.
In addition to the separators, we also supply accessories such as alarm systems that warn you when the maximum oil collection and / or backwater in the oil separator has been reached.
The petrol separator
Oil and related oil products, such as gasoline and diesel, are extremely dangerous and harmful to the environment when exposed. Yet it is these oil products that are indispensable to keep our economy going. These products almost always occur in vehicles, such as cars and trucks. Sometimes there is a risk of leakage in the engine and then you can immediately see what damage oil products can cause. A large oil spot with characteristic rainbow colors appears on the road surface and is difficult to remove with water. Try to imagine what if such products end up in the environment and affect water and animals. This is the reason that companies that work with oil products are obliged to use a separator. For example, a petrol separator is widely used in car garages, parking garages, petrol stations and car washes. This prevents petrol and diesel from ending up in the municipal sewer system or in surface water.
How does the petrol separator work?
A gasoline separator is also known as an oil separator or a hydrocarbon separator. Hydrocarbons are the components in crude oil that absolutely must not end up in open water. These hydrocarbons are discharged together with water and other oil products as waste water via a concrete tank, the actual petrol separator. Since the density of these hydrocarbons is much lower than water, they will separate in this well and surface. There is an automatic shut-off valve in the separator. This valve, also called a float, only floats on the water. The water will be drained through the outlet to the sewer or open water. The more oil that enters the tank, the lower the water level will be. The float will therefore also descend more and more. At some point he closes the exit and no more water can be drained. This is a sign that the tank is full of hydrocarbon and should be cleaned. There are separators with and without sludge trap. In the well, space is then reserved for sludge that has come along. If this is not available, a separate sludge trap must be placed.
