To separate mineral oil from water in a simple way, use an oil separator. The size of a gas separator depends on the quantities of oil and water. Oil separators are used in places where there is a greater chance of discharging mineral oil. Consider, for example, washing passenger cars and trucks. But also at workplaces where people work on motor vehicles or at a gas station.
We offer you a complete and certified separator program from Aco and Ekotek. All our separators meet the European standard NEN EN 858. In this way you are assured of functional and sustainable products with proven performance and reliability. If desired, we will make the required capacity calculation for you, of course completely FREE!
We supply the right separator for every application. This way we always offer the best drainage solution. Deliverable from stock quickly and almost always. We supply the following types of separators:
ACO oil separators are distinguished by the KOMO quality mark. These separators meet specific requirements for the Dutch market such as sludge and oil volume. Many clients apply this requirement in addition to the minimum requirement of NEN EN 858
In addition to the separators, we also supply accessories such as alarm systems that warn you when the maximum oil collection and / or backlog in oil separator has been reached.
Oil and related oil products, such as gasoline and diesel, when exposed, are extremely dangerous and bad for the environment. Yet it is these oil products that are essential to keep our economy going. These products almost always occur in vehicles, such as cars and trucks. Sometimes there is a risk of leakage in the engine and then you can immediately see what damage oil products can cause. A large oil spot with characteristic rainbow colors appears on the road surface and is difficult to get rid of with water. Try to imagine what if such products end up in the environment and affect water and animals. This is the reason why companies that work with oil products are obliged to use a separator. For example, a gas separator is often used in car garages, parking garages, gas stations and car washes. This prevents gasoline and diesel from entering the municipal sewer system or surface water.
A gas separator is also called an oil separator or hydrocarbon separator. Hydrocarbons are the components in crude oil that should absolutely not end up in the open water. These hydrocarbons are discharged together with water and other oil products as waste water via a concrete tank, the actual gasoline separator. Since the density of these hydrocarbons is much lower than water, they will separate into this well and come to the surface. There is an automatic valve in the separator. This valve, also called a float, only floats on the water. The water will be drained via the exit to the sewer or open water. The more oil enters the tank, the lower the water level will be. The float will therefore also lower more and more. At a certain moment he closes the exit and no more water can be drained. This is the sign that the tank is full of hydrocarbon and must be cleaned. There are separators with and without sludge trap. Space is then reserved in the well for sludge that has been brought along. If this is not present, a separate sludge trap must be installed.
