Grundfos type KP
Unilift KP pumps are submersible drainage pumps for both temporary and permanent freestanding installation. They can be used for pumping drainage water or gray waste water. They are also suitable for installation in collection tanks.
The Unilift KP is a single-stage drainage pump with a half-open impeller, designed for pumping drainage water or gray waste water. All Unilift KP pumps can be supplied with or without a level switch. The variants are indicated as A, AV or M, for automatic or manual operation. The Unilift KP-AV variant for narrow wells is supplied with a check valve for installation on the delivery side. The strainer is clipped onto the pump housing.
The Unilift KP. single-stage, submersible, stainless steel drainage pump in robust design with upward-pointing discharge port on top of the pump. The outer housing is made of one piece. The power cable and the level switch cable are both connected to a single, vulcanized watertight plug that is plugged into a contact on the hermetically sealed stator housing. The motor is a single or three-phase synchronous "canned motor" with fluid-filled rotor chamber and water-lubricated bearings.
The motor is cooled by the pumped liquid that flows around it.

The motor is equipped with automatic overload protection which switches off the motor in the event of an overload. When the engine has cooled down to a normal temperature, the engine will restart automatically.
Applications Grundfos Unilift KP
The Grundfos Unilift KP pumps are intended for pumping:
- Water and rain water in horticulture
- Water from rivers and lakes
- Rainwater, drainage water and water from floods
- Water for filling / emptying containers, ponds, tanks, etc.
- Waste water from showers, washing machines and wash basins below sewer level
- Swimming pool water
- Ditch drainage water
- Groundwater (reduction)
- Effluent from homes from septic and treatment systems
- Effluent of viaducts, underpasses, etc
- Drainage water from sprinkler systems of garages.
